Deardens Expanding Table Gets Production Ready.

After the success of the You Tube video, and the levels of interest from around the world it was a simple decision to take, make it!

The table has been developed and is in the process of being prototyped in the North East of England. Designed by Nick Dearden the product is to be marketed under the brand name of Deardens Jupe. Nick has designed this first piece to increase surface area by 57%, expanding from 2, to seat 4 people as a breakfast table, also to be available as a coffee table. The product is manufactured from stainless steel, glass and aluminium and could live either outside or inside. “Once we have made it, tested it, refined it and are 100% happy with the design, then and only then will it be available for sale. It must meet and exceed our own and the customers expectations. It is a product that will last 100’s of years, appreciate and be appreciated, here today and tomorrow” Says Nick. New videos for You Tube are planned including a short with the working title of “Made in Tyne and Wear” the making of the prototype, and “English Breakfast” a short putting the new table through its expanding paces. More videos will follow “We have a You Tube channel, its working, lets use it” says Nick. “I love the whole creative process, 2D and 3D designing, engineering, prototyping, photography, video, etc. We have the ability to take all these disciplines, work them into a common theme and present them to the world on the web. The results could create jobs, stimulate the North East manufacturing economy and raise the profile of the area. These are all drivers. But the key to the drive, what is at the heart of all this….. We have invented a fascinating environmentally sound product, mechanism and geometry, and we have plenty of new ideas for what to do with it! Watch this space. If anyone would like the brochure for the first pieces please let Nick know: nick@deardens.ltd.uk.
